Physiotherapy

Our main focus is to provide manual/manipulative therapy, which is a specialized area of physiotherapy for the management of neuro-musculo-skeletal conditions.

It is a hands-on therapy that involves diagnosing and treating restrictions in movement based on clinical reasoning, clinician feel, and highly specific assessment techniques.

In manual therapy, practitioners use their hands to mobilize and/or manipulate joints in an attempt to improve joint movement, reduce muscle tension, reduce pain, and improve function. Our clients can expect to receive any of the following:

  • Joint mobilization and manipulation to reduce pain and stiffness
  • Personalized exercise prescription
  • Soft tissue and scar tissue massage
  • Hot and cold packs and modalities to relieve pain, reduce swelling, speed up the healing process, improve movement and function
  • Functional activity and tolerance testing and training
  • Work and occupational re-training and return to work planning
  • Application of assistive, adaptive, supportive and protective devices and equipment, such as bracing and custom supports
